I have 13 years of experience in Deep Tissue and Sports Massage techniques. Over the years, I’ve built the skills, knowledge, and research based understanding to deliver an evidence informed approach tailored to each client’s needs.
We start with a posture analysis for a visual overview, any relevant history, goals, and concerns, developing a deep understanding of you and your needs. This involves designing a personalised treatment, followed up with strategic functional wellbeing techniques for you to carry out between sessions.
From athletes and active individuals, to office workers or anyone needing pain relief who are willing to put in some dedicated work for themselves.
The most common issues that come through the clinic are back pain and neck dysfunction. Both can take time to regulate; the neck in particular is one of the most complex areas of the body when dysfunction is present.
It depends on your goals and condition. Some clients feel relief after 2-3 sessions. Others will benefit from a series for lasting improvements.
A firmer pressure is expected, however it is always adjusted to your level of comfort. I ensure I check in with you throughout the session.
To understand how your nervous system and brain communicate. Pain isn’t always a true measure of tissue health, and learning how your body responds, helps you regain control, improve recovery and break pain cycles.
Absolutely. I prioritise my own recovery with the same evidence based strategies just as I guide my clients to do. It's also the only way for me to learn and understand what actually works.
Seeing clients make true progression from the very first session, gaining confidence, understanding their body, and noticing real shifts in their nervous system is deeply rewarding. I love hearing them recognise improvements in their quality of life; Watching this transform is incredible.
I prioritise strength through regular weight lifting (clinical studies shows it supports longevity, less pain and functional wellbeing). I also practice yoga, running, bike riding, badminton and love to go tramping in the mountains.
Yes. I played Indoor Short Mat Bowling for 10 years and became the first ever female in my region of the country to win the title for the singles competition in 2012, aged 20, defeating a top ranked national player in the final. Still stoked about this! Growing up I also played Football, Cricket and Badminton on the weekends. Currently, I am not part of any sports teams.
I assess my mental capacity for how I am going to reset. Sometimes I engage in sporting activities, other times I have a relaxed weekend at home such as, gardening, dog walks, light runs, yoga, or reading.
